| Nonviolence Education and Training – NVETNonviolence training provides civil society organizations with essential peacebuilding skills and concepts. These skills and concepts focus on ways to increase social mobilization and countervailing power. Nonviolence training aims to empower marginalized groups so that they can assert their rights, create their own opportunities, and access resources.WPP supports nonviolence trainings by providing financial support (seedfunding), links to trainers and resource people, and/or training materials. In the first half of 2009, the WPP supported four projects; from Croatia, Macedonia, Colombia and Fiji. The project in Croatia 'Together for Peace' aimed to make a step toward the permanence Balkan peace network of women, among other things. Read more The project 'There are 1325 reasons for implementation of 1325 Resolution' which took place in Macedonia aims to incorporate a gender perspective in the peace and security policy of Republic of Macedonia. Read more The 'Political School of Women' project in Colombia is addressed to the women coming from the city, Cali and from the rural sectors around. Read more (English). The project 'Engaging: building on non-violent education for action using a gendered perspective' in Fiji focuses on the sharing of the concepts, theories, case studies and ways of non-violent action.
