Cross the Lines

In 2011, the WPP decided to merge its two newsletters – the quarterly Cross the Lines and the monthly WPP e-opportunities into one.

From January onwards, newsletter Cross the Lines will appear monthly; containing news items, resources and job opportunities related to women, gender, peace and security. A new item in this newsletter will be the section “Voices from the field”. In this section, we aim to share articles, stories and experiences from our partners and colleagues in the field. We warmly welcome you to send these to us.

The Time is Now

It has only been recently that the two young women activists - one from Kyrgyzstan and one from Fiji - working at our International secretariat, have left Alkmaar. They participated in WPP's international orientation program. This program includes practical office work, an introduction to international peace work and exposure visits to relevant organizations. They have written the 2009 The Time is now newsletter on their experiences, reflections and views of the orientation.
