Tense situation in Kashmir The Kashmir conflict between Pakistan and India, two nuclear powers, has lead to three wars within the last 65 years, posing a threat to the overall stabilization of South Asia. From several women peace activists in Kashmir we have been receiving alarming news the past few weeks. Since a 17-year-old boy died in June 2010 as a result of being hit by a tear gas shell which the Indian forces used against demonstrators in Srinagar, the situation in Kashmir has become very tense.
